Salmonella has broken out in several states mostly in Oregon. The Outbreak has been tied to tomatoes which has prompted many restaurants and food chains to pull tomatoes off their menu. Many people are not aware of the symptoms of salmonella and with this latest scare people need to be aware of salmonella symptoms.
Salmonella symptoms can last four to seven days and include diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps. If you suspect you have salmonella poisoning then it would be a good idea to seek medical help. Oregon is working with federal and other state and local authorities on the investigation. Thus far, 166 people have been sickened and other cases are pending in 17 states – Arizona, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.
